Siting of luminaires:
All emergency lighting must comply to BS5266 (2005). No longer current, but still cited in Building Regulations Guidance.
Your luminaire should be sited at each exit door, at each intersection of corridors, on each landing and ideally around fire equipment and fire alarm call points.
It is imperitive to use these products to ensure escape routes, both primary and secondary, are illuminated to add comfort in state of emergency, or when the power fails.
