Better for the Environment
Our new generation of digital printers use LED lamps which use around 25% less power than traditional metal halide UV printers. The LED lamp arrays are instant off and on and have an expected life span of over 5,000 hours.
Our digital printers use Latex inks which offer many environmental benefits. Most traditional solvent-based inks comprise of approximately 60 – 70 % solvents, these inks also contain VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) toxins that have to evaporate off. Latex inks have none of these properties.
Non-Solvent Latex Inks
Latex inks, which are also known as resin inks, use a polymer to encapsulate the colour pigments, which are then suspended in water as a carrier liquid that can be jetted through the print heads. Heat is used to evaporate the water away.
Wider Range of Materials
The use of cold cure LED printing technology brings advantages in media handling too. With so little heat generated by the LED lamp arrays we can offer a wider range of thinner substrates which can be printed on.
