Case Study
Queen Mary University London (QMUL)
Maths Building
With over 26,000 students, Queen Mary University has five campuses across East and Central London located in Mile End, Whitechapel, Charterhouse Square, Lincoln’s Inn Fields and Smithfield with
The Mile End campus being the largest self-contained campus of any London-based Russell Group university.
Having demonstrated our capabilities on some smaller projects around the university, Allsigns were asked to liaise with the appointed design agency to look at the resigning of the Maths building. This would involve working with the designers to realise their designs for a range of wayfinding signage, floor level directories and door numbering which Allsigns would create and install.
The project was carried out through the summer, despite having to install the signage over the hottest days of the year, (whilst the heating system was being commissioned) our fitting team completed the whole scheme on time.
Following this project, Allsigns then focussed on the signage plans for the Francis Bancroft Building. This required a completely new internal and external wayfinding system to replace the outdated and existing one. Again, this involved working with external design teams who had been appointed by the university.
